Entry requirements for the Master’s Degree

  • previous Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline (e.g Marine Academy), or a 5-year previous work experience.
  • a detailed resume – CV
  • you may also have to provide evidence of your English proficiency, although you do not need to provide this at the time of your application.

Exit Awards

  • PostGraduate Certificate (PGCert): Upon completion of the first 4 modules
  • PostGraduate Diploma (PGDip): Upon completion of 7 modules
  • Master of Science (MSc): Upon completion of all modules and a thesis

Careers

With a strong foundation of knowledge in shipping management, plus specialist knowledge from your chosen stream, and practical skills developed with case studies and practical projects, you will graduate with a unique and well-rounded portfolio of skills and knowledge to set you apart in the job market. Your practical and professional management skills will be developed and polished during the programme, including communication and presentation skills, team working and cultural intelligence gained from collaboration with classmates from around the world.

 

Saint Thomas Polytechnic will provide tailored individual support with your professional development and job search throughout the programme. We offer one-to-one Career Consultant sessions, access to employers with career fairs, seminars and workshops, a vast database of employment opportunities, and help with job hunting, CVs/resumes and interviews.

All 7 modules are accredited at Level 7 (Postgraduate) by the UK regulated awarding body EduQual, approved by SQA-Accreditation.
